Our Mission

Irish homeowners have historically struggled to get clear, honest pricing information before approaching roofing contractors. Quotes vary widely across counties, materials differ in quality and cost, and SEAI grant eligibility adds another layer of complexity. Roof Cost Ireland was created to cut through that confusion.

We provide free, up-to-date cost guides and instant calculators covering every major roofing project in Ireland — from a full new roof replacement to minor repairs, flat roofs, slate roofs, and SEAI-supported upgrades. Every figure we publish is based on real contractor rates across Ireland in 2026, inclusive of VAT at 13.5%.

We are not a roofing contractor. We do not accept payment from contractors to feature them on this site. Our only goal is to give you the information you need to make a confident, informed decision.

🏠 New Roof Costs

☀️ Flat & Slate Roofs

Dedicated cost guides for flat roof installations using EPDM, felt, and fibreglass, plus natural and synthetic slate roofing options.

💰 SEAI Grant Support

Our SEAI grant calculator helps homeowners estimate available government grants for energy-efficient roofing upgrades in Ireland.

How We Calculate Costs

All cost estimates published on Roof Cost Ireland are compiled from publicly available contractor pricing, industry trade data, and regional rate surveys across Ireland. Figures are reviewed and updated regularly to reflect current market conditions.

Costs are indicative estimates only. Your actual project cost will depend on your roof size, pitch, material choice, access difficulty, location, and the contractor you select. We always recommend obtaining a minimum of three written quotes from registered contractors before committing to any roofing project.

For energy upgrade projects, SEAI grant amounts are based on published SEAI rates and are subject to change. Always verify current grant values directly with SEAI.ie before making financial decisions.
